We were at Marion Bay in September and here I am as late as I can be to post this review here. Well, what can I say, I truly suck at time management these days 🙂
Anyways, we got to know of Marion Bay through some amazing pictures on Instagram. My husband was initially sceptic about how far the place is and how dry the route is but one look at some of the pictures I came across on Instagram and we booked this accommodation then and there.
Marion Bay Seaside Apartments is located on Jetty road and offers amazing views of the Marion Bay jetty. We were lucky enough to get the ocean view apartment which offers the best views among them all. Booking this place through airbnb was a breeze as usual. The owner Eamon was kind enough to receive us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. He also gave us a day pass to the Innes National Park which added a nice personal touch to this stay. This apartment is located right on the jetty with the General Store and the local tavern only a stone’s throw away.
The apartment was cosy and warm with a small kitchenette, two bedrooms, an open living and a long balcony to watch the sunset from. Well, to be precise, even the master bedroom and the living area offered spectacular views of the jetty. You could practically sit in your apartment and watch the hustle and bustle of early morning fishing enthusiasts as much as you could spend time watching the sun set over Marion Bay.
As the apartment was located quite close to the jetty, we were able to take late night strolls to the jetty. I really enjoyed this and in hindsight this used to be my favourite part of the day!
Overall, Marion Bay Seaside Apartments is all about location, location and more location! The General Store, the local watering hole and the jetty are nearby as it is, the true highlight however is the Innes National Park. At just 5 minutes away, you can make as many trips as you want!
