We usually don’t opt for a buffet while dining out as all of us are average eaters at best. But the occasion demanded a special place and we landed up at Barbeque Nation recently. Though we had to wait for almost 20 minutes (since we had not reserved in advance), the seating was comfortable and there were a whole lot of newspapers to while away the time.
Once seated and after we had made our preference for non veg crystal clear, the starters started pouring in, literally 🙂 Phew, it was all just too much and we gave up within no time 🙂 Each and every one of those starters were finger licking good! After gobbling up so many starters, we really didn’t have any inclination to try the main course. I ended up tasting their crab and mutton curry and both were good. The children skipped the main course altogether and straight away went to the kulfi station and had cut fruits and kulfi to their hearts content. As for me, I felt the dessert station could use a little bit more fine tuning. Other than that, all was good.
A special mention to the service. It sure does set them apart by leaps and bounds. Especially more so as both the person who took the payment and the valet refused to take the tip and handed it back politely but firmly with a smile on their face saying its against the rule. The genuineness of their smiles made it amply clear that the staff are well taken care of, which in turn I think was the reason for the top notch service. A big thumbs up to Barbeque Nation for this, its never happened anywhere else 🙂
