New Hawa is a hawker style restaurant specializing in Singaporean fare was a 5min walk from where we were staying in Albert Village, Singapore. A sleepy place in the morning, New Hawa Restaurant transforms into a bustling fast food style joint come evening.
Service is friendly and the staff is eager to help you with your order especially if you are a tourist. However, it can get slow at times depending on the amount of crowd. We tried a whole variety of local fare here over a period of 4 days, some of them being Laksa, Maggie Goreng with Chicken, Mee Goreng and beef fried rice. You have to practically sit on the road, but the good food more than makes up for this.
Definitely, hawker fare at its best!
