The perfect place to have Malaysian street food, that’s Hawker Walker for you. And if you have the opportunity to dine here with your friends, even better!
My friends introduced me to this restaurant last year and I was blown away with their food. We did visit this place a couple of times after that and then somehow forgot all about it. Until yesterday, that is.
Located near the Adelaide City Library, Hawker Walker is open for lunch from 11am-4pm. The ideal time to have lunch here is at 12pm when the lunch crowd is just starting to trickle in. By 12.30, this place is packed! There is ample seating available and ordering is quick and easy. An added bonus for a weekday lunch here is that you do not have to wait long for food to be served as the staff in the open kitchen seem to work like a well oiled machine.
This time around, we ordered a Hokkien Mee with extra chilli sauce, Hawker Walker combination fried rice and crispy fish fillet noodle. Within 10 minutes, our food was served and we were ready to tuck in. Each one of these dishes were top notch in terms of flavour. A year on from our last visit and there is no dip in quality which is everything when it comes to the food industry. What makes this place even more endearing is the portion size. They don’t skimp on portions for sure! All in all, this place offers a good hearty meal at an affordable price.
