The recent trip to Robe was an impromptu one and we stayed at the Dunes Blue cottage booked via airbnb. There were not many choices available as we made the booking almost at the last minute. We were worried travel restrictions would tighten up again considering the second wave Victoria was facing at the time but luckily for South Australians, the state is doing better in terms of Covid.

Even though this stay was a rushed find, the hosts were quick to respond to our queries regarding the accommodation and check in was quite seamless. This cottage is located a short walk away from the Robe lighthouse making it the ideal choice for those who would love a lazy stroll down to the beach or to the nearby lighthouse. The views from the lighthouse were breathtaking by the way!

Coming to the cottage as such, the pictures on airbnb do not do this place any justice. This cottage is ideal for small families looking to spend a day or two in this idyllic coastal town. The rooms were spacious and the heating, just perfect. Our bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked it to be, but the children definitely liked theirs. The kitchen was well stocked with various pots and pans and cutlery.

The Dunes Blue cottage was also well stocked with books and games along with free wi-fi. The Dunes Blue in Robe is a perfect little cottage to get away from the hustle and bustle of Adelaide if you ask me!
