Not another rambling post, I promise!

We had taken the biggest risk of our lives, which would be moving Down Under just so we could work and travel at the same time. And what did we end up doing? Just work, work and more work! I guess it happens, when you are making such a huge decision at a stage in life where most people have already settled down and started saving up for their children’s education, marriage and retirement and well you get the gist! And what did we do? Pack our bags and head to Adelaide on a whim!

Fast forward a year, and we had reached a point where we knew it was time to take a step back and slow down. And there we were, taking a road trip over Christmas Break and finally getting to witness the raw beauty of Australia and loving every moment of it.

On a chilly evening, you are at Logan’s Beach gazing out to on to Shipwreck Bay with salty windswept hair, to catch a glimpse of a whale and it just hits you and you realize you are having your very own moment of epiphany! That this should be your legacy to your children, experiences and moments of joy. That they will never remember their favorite TV moment but they will definitely remember they went whale watching with their parents! That they will be all the more richer with adventures to remember and stories to share. That it is easy to get waylaid with peer pressure on who has the bigger house or who has the flashier car and this is exactly what we were hoping to escape when we landed in Adelaide.

So, what’s the plan? The plan is to write a  journal of our recent trip and then hopefully plan more and more such trips and not get lost in the typical rat race!

So Work, Travel, Save, Repeat, that’s the plan from now onward!

Because you see,

“Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate,

And though I oft have passed them by,

A day will come at last when I shall take the

hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.”
