We chanced upon this hidden gem while on one of our numerous trips to the Morialta Conservation Park near our place. From the outside, Spice Shot looks like an average Joe at best. In fact, it looks so ordinary from the road that we did think more than twice before deciding to give this place a try!

A small restaurant done up in your typical North Indian way, that’s Spice Shot for you in a nutshell. On the evening we dined here, there was a huge ruckus over a limo that was parked out front and there was a large group of diners who were taking turns at checking it out!

The menu is quite simple and straight forward for the most part and then you jump to a section with names like Bheja Fry and you know you are in the right place! Since it was already closing time, the chef decided to help us out and recommended we try the lamb Roganjosh and also said he could whip up a quick butter chicken for the children. Served with butter and garlic naans, both the dishes were delicious to say the least. The flavours were delicate yet rich at the same time and the children really enjoyed their butter naans.

Having Indian food in Adelaide is like taking a trip down memory lane if you ask me. It sure makes you nostalgic for home! Service here was lovely and courteous. The price for the above came close to $50 which is quite the deal considering the portion size. Would I recommend this place? Without a doubt, yes!
