It had been ages since we had some nice sizzlers and off we headed to Tangerine on Murrays Gate Road. The place was crowded and we had to wait some 10 minutes to get a table. The menus were handed the moment we sat down and the staff was quick to take our order.
Food
For starters, we ordered fried prawns (coated with a beer batter, what more could one ask for!) and barbeque chicken. The barbeque chicken arrived first and was polished off in no time by the kiddos. Luckily for us, they didnt like the fried prawns much so we ended up with that one and it was quite nice. I made a mental note to self to order crab cakes during the next visit.
And then we moved on to the sizzlers. While hubby played it safe by opting for Malacca (chicken and fried noodles in an Asian sauce), I decided to go for the Ceaser, chicken in a walnut and wine sauce. Hubby’s sizzler was top notch and both the kiddos liked it as well. And the Ceaser I orderd was quite nice as well. But the children didnt like mine much, they found the sauce to be a bit bland, quite understandable since its not what they are used to at home. Needless to say, I didnt have to share mine
Service
The staff were courteous throughout and we had a nice time. The final bill came to 1350. So if you are in the mood to get your tongues burned with some yummy sizzlers, you know where to head….
