So we had been sightseeing for quite some time and covered a meuseum near Regal and Gateway of India. I so wanted to check out Leopold Café, but unfortunately, the place was super crowded, so we ended up having icecreams and an icecream cake from Baskin Robbins and headed off to Nariman Point. We finally decided to call it a day as the kids were too tired from allthe walking and we ended up at Jaffer Bhai’s Delhi Durbar near Marine Lines, Colaba.
Ambience
The place has seating on 2 levels and has a cosy décor. Now, they are known for their biryani, so we had to try some. We also ordered butter naan’s, rumaali rotis, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Since the kiddos were already on the verge of sleeping, we asked the staff to bring whatever was readily available.
Food
And we got our biryani first! It was full of flavor and to my surprise had potatoes in it. Now that’s a first for me, potatoes in chicken biryani! All the dishes were top notch, but I would have definitely liked a little less greasiness, but then that must be the secret of that finger licking yumminess. A special mention to the rumaali roti, definitely one of the best I have had till date.
Service
The only downside was the slightly poor service. As far as price points are concerned, its good value for money since it costed just about INR 1000 for 4 adults and 2 kids.
